Twenty students participated in the second session of the Virtual International Education (VIE) program for the 2026 academic year. Participants included students enrolled in the required first-year undergraduate course “Introduction to Information and Data Science,” as well as undergraduate and graduate students and international students planning to participate in the summer program.

The participating students were primarily medical students, and the event was held at the Kasumi Campus. Divided into four mixed Japanese-American small groups, they discussed three questions related to AI and smart cities using Zoom translation and HiGPT, an AI-based educational support tool, and presented their conclusions.
